Princeton alumnus William H. Scheide has donated The Scheide Library, a collection of rare books and manuscripts, to Princeton University. The collection is valued at approximately $300 million, making it the largest single contribution in the University’s history and surpassing gifts from Peter B. Lewis, Gerhard R. Andlinger, and Sir Gordon Wu.
